Steve and Carole Wallace

Russ Stevenson, River South Pastor, is a graduate of Princeton University, Fuller Theological Seminary and Princeton Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of churches in Tupper Lake, NY; Niagara Falls, NY; and First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge, a church of 1600 members. He and his wife Sherrill have four married daughters and twenty-two grandchildren. Russ is the author of the book Forgotten Foundation, and he and Sherrill live in the Pelican Point development. Sherrill serves as Russ’ volunteer secretary.

Steve Wallace is the church’s part-time Worship Director, and his wife Carole serves as River South’s part-time Media Coordinator. Steve received his BA from UT Dallas and his MA from Indiana Wesleyan. Prior to joining Russ at River South, Steve served as the part-time Youth Director at River Community, and—over the course of thirty years, he and Carole served together in youth ministry programs in three states. Steve also works as a writer. Originally from Memphis, Carole and Steve have three adult children and two grandchildren.

In addition to full- and part-time staff, River Church South is blessed by the ministry and leadership of a Board of Elders, a Board of Deacons, Sunday School teachers, musicians, singers, and numerous ministry teams and volunteers. As is true in so many fellow churches, our lay volunteers make it possible for us to fulfill the ministry vision to which God has called us in our community.
