Steve and Carole Wallace

Russ Stevenson, River South Pastor, is a graduate of Princeton University, Fuller Theological Seminary and Princeton Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of churches in Tupper Lake, NY; Niagara Falls, NY; and First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge, a church of 1600 members. He and his wife Sherrill have four married daughters and twenty-three grandchildren. Russ is the author of the book Forgotten Foundation, and he and Sherrill live in the Pelican Point development. Sherrill serves as Russ’ volunteer secretary.

Steve Wallace is the church’s Associate Pastor, and Carole Wallace is River South’s part-time Media Coordinator. Steve received his BA from UT Dallas and his MA from Wesley Seminary where he teaches as a member of the adjunct faculty in the undergraduate program. He also works as a writer and editor. For over thirty years, Steve and Carole have served together in a variety of churches and ministry organizations in their native Tennessee, in Texas, and in Louisiana. They have three adult children and three grandchildren.

In addition to full- and part-time staff, River Church South is blessed by the ministry and leadership of a Board of Elders, a Board of Deacons, Sunday School teachers, musicians, singers, and numerous ministry teams and volunteers. As is true in so many fellow churches, our lay volunteers make it possible for us to fulfill the ministry vision to which God has called us in our community.
